Overview

Badrinath, one of the 108 divya desams incarnations of Lord Vishnu, holds significant importance for Vaishnavites. The Panch Badri temples, including Yog Dhyan Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Adi Badri, and Vriddha Badri, surround the Badrinath temple in Badrinath Dham.

Tour Plan

Day 01 Rishikesh to Badrinath (295kms/9hr)
  • Elevation: 3133 meters.
  • After breakfast, drive to Badrinath (06:00 AM). Visit Narsingh Temple on the way and check into the hotel upon arrival in Badrinath.
  • Pilgrims can take a bath in the Taptkund, have Darshan of Badrivishal, and attend the evening Arti. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 Badrinath to Rudraprayag (150Km /6 hrs)
  • Elevation: 610 meters.
  • Embark on a spiritual journey to Badrinath Temple. After breakfast, proceed to the temple. The scenic views of the ghats on the way will add to the memorable experience.
  • In the afternoon, drive to Rudraprayag for dinner and overnight stay.

Noteworthy sites on the way:

  • Tapt Kund: Holy bathing at these riverbank hot springs before entering Badrinath temple is considered a religious ritual.
  • Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian township before Tibet.
  • Vasundhara: A wonderful waterfall.
  • Bhim Pul: On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forms a natural bridge over the noisy Saraswati river. It is associated with the second-oldest of the Pandava brothers.
  • Vyas Gufa (Cave): A rock-cave next to Mana Village where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the puranic commentary.
Day 03 Rudraprayag to Rishikesh (150Km / 5hr)
  • Elevation: 340 meters.
  • After morning breakfast, proceed to Rishikesh. On the way, visit Dhari Devi Temple. Upon arrival in Rishikesh, drop-off at Rishikesh station/hotel. Yatra concludes.
